wow!!and yet pple will claim that mayweather ducked...roach should have just said the fight couldnt happen in march because he couldnt figure a way that manny could beat floyd.

come on, we all kno thats a big part of the reason they were reluctant to take the tests. manny wouldnt have been ready. clottey is just a punching bag to keep manny in shape.

He does what he does best and that is to prepare his fighter to fight the best. So far no one in recent memories has been able to match that up. Yes he is brash and bold....some even say arrogant but no one can doubt that he is good for Pacquiao.
I don't think you understood my point. If Roach has not completed a gameplan to beat Mayweather, what was he going to do on March 13th aginst Mayweather? He's basically admitting Pacquiao wasn't ready. And Pacquiao is nearing the end of his career. He's not some young fighter still learning his trade. Things that he can't do now are not going to be perfected in one training camp for Mayweather. It takes years and if they fight Pacquiao is going to be the same Pacquiao. Mayweather is not the type of opponent he can "try new things" with. Pacquaio has no other choice but to fight the way he knows best.

That's what i was talking about, i'm a genius. Actually the roach has a lot of respect for Lil Floyd, he knows how good he is. He just needed the time to prepare for Mayweather. But IMO overlooking Clottey is a big mistake, they should have fought a good mid level opponent, like an Alfonso Gomez.

I just don't like how Clottey is mentally as a fighter which is why I don't like him in the fight. Now Clottey could gain some mental strength from his situation but really his best hope is that Manny's side is overlooking him because that takes away part of their mental edge and that could open a door for Clottey.

That said even if that door is open Clottey has to step through it.
