You know you the best when you're the most hated. Kobe and Floyd are very similar IMO, they don't care about being criticized by the media and fans. They are willing to do anything to win, by any means necessary. Kobe said in a quote that it doesn't matter if he took 50 or 60 shots, all that matters is that he wins.

I've been a fan o boxing since around 1986, ABC Wide World Of Sports.
My first favorite fighter was a guy named Livingstone Bramble, I think it was his name that caught my attention. He wasn't a huge name like Leonard or Hearns but the guy could fight and had heart, he made me love the sport.
Over the years I've had other fighters that I enjoyed watching for a number of reasons. The hard hitting knockout machines, the fast slick guys to the slow all heart guys. In all I just love this sport, and I understand it .
I understand that there are many types of fighters, and not all fighter appeal to all fight fans.
My current favorite is Mayweather.
Now this guy has it all in my eyes. He fast (not the fastest I've ever seen) but the man is fast "quick". His reflexes are like none I've seen, his ring smarts are unmatched.
His power? Well he's got enough pop to keep you honest let's say that.
His D? I think that's his gift. If a man is in front of you and you can't hit him but he's hitting you? Upper body movement, footwork, shoulder rolls, right hand ALWAYS up, the left ALWAYS protecting his mid.
He never loses control, always calm. He goes at his own pace, he forces you to dance his way.
I can go on and on about how good this guy is, but I'll get to the point.

Show me a fighter that doesn't believe in himself, or think he's the baddest to lace um up. I'll shoe u a fighter that will NEVER be great.
U say he's ***** or chicken.
Then Diego, Hernandez, Chavez, Gatti, Oscar 154, Castillo, Angel Man ect ect should have had a field day with him.
U say he's a runner?
I call that ring generalship. Its movement, its boxing, its the sweet science.
He won't stand toe to toe?
Well, its not called toe to toe, its boxing right?

But u hate him because he talks a lot of trash.
Um, who's he talking to or about that gets u upset? He never mentioned my name, or my mothers name so why would I care.
U hate him, you want to see him take a vicious beating.
But uv never ever seen a sweeter pull counter in ur LIFE.
I don't know the man personally, I don't know any of these boxers to say I hate them or wish bad on them. To do that shows that ur lacking in ur own life.

I look at the people who hate this man that they have never met, and its sad.
Every single fight that this man has, people are wishing him to fail. But yet he is undefeated in 40 pro fights.
To the haters every Floyd fight feels like this..

December 25th. You wake up extra early, run to the living room and under the tree is a big box with ur name on it. Uv been a good boy, said ur prayers, ate ur vegetables and got really good grades so ur sure that this year ul get what uv been asking for (That awesome RED RANGER BB GUN!).
The bell rings and u rush to that box, ur heart pounding, ur eyes as big ah golf balls and OH SHYT!

People are judging Floyd are mostly bais.

Ali was ****y back in his days and didnt have much fans. If you seen him fight Frazier most of the crowd booed at him. Now he is well loved and people forget what happen exactly in the past.

That is how people work. Sometimes they love a fighter sometimes they hate him. Nobody remebers when Duran lowblowed his way to get a belt or Pryor taking some special drink against Arrguello or Sugar Ray Lenord pick and choose the right time to fight his opponents.

But what baffles me is Margarito's fans still hold time him as he cheated just so recent as well as Shane Mosely people dont really mention his BALCO connection. Even though Shane denied his invovlment and wasnt aware but injecting something in your stomach is alway suspectable.

he is a terrific boxer, no one really denies that. he was born to fight. i mean, it's in his blood and he has a god-given gift. it has been a bit frustrating however to watch him in the past four, five years. we could have seen some great fights between him and cotto, or margarito, or shane or P-will. He has been careful selecting opponents. I'm glad he's now fighting the Sugarman
