G****vine, Texas -- Former U.S. President George W. Bush is expected to attend the WBO welterweight title bout between Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines and Joshua Clottey of Ghana, according to Top Rank Promoter Bob Arum as well as publicist Lee Samuels.

Bush will likely be in the VIP luxury suite with wife Laura and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. The showdown takes place at the new $1.2 billion Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas this Saturday, March 13th and will be shown on HBO pay-per-view.

The former President served as governor of Texas and is a boxing fan. Former ********** presidential candidate John McCain was an amateur boxer during his time at the U.S. Naval Academy.

Jones, who attended Pacquiao's media day workout at the posh Gaylord Texan Hotel, appears to be under significant political and economic pressure to deliver financial results given the costly financing of the stadium, which was partly underwritten by Arlington voters.

The coming year is also an uncapped year for the National Football League which means the Dallas Cowboys' payroll could significantly increase. In an interview on ESPN, Jones stressed that the business model of the new stadium must work given the $1.2 billion capital expenditure outlay, which does not include interest expenses and operating costs.

In a stressing tone to ESPN hosts, Jones maintained that both the league (NFL) and Player's Union need to come to an appropriate CBA (collective bargaining agreement) given the metrics surrounding Cowboys Stadium as well as ongoing economic realities.

That means controlling expenses on the Cowboys side, as well as, generating revenues by bringing high profile events to the behemoth facility. Bob Arum confirmed to Examiner.com (Marv Dumon) that more Top Rank events will be hosted at Jones' billion-dollar facility.
hopefully some 1 will chuck summit at him

Bush appeared on the Mayorga-Vargas PPV while still in office to thank Don King for helping out the troops or something like that.
