Reasons for having MAB and especailly JMM over Hawk?

Mainly for the edge in achievements/resume (especially Barrera). Longevity of course played a part in that. Pryor was more physically gifted and probably could've been at the top, but his personal issues caused him to be an underachiever. Not only with the drugs, but his personal/managerial problems also prevented him from being able to score some better wins.

You can say the same regarding Marquez and his managerial issues (good ole Nacho making those bonehead decisions), but he kept fighting and was able to get some big fights at an age in which guys with his mileage and in his division normally would be shot.
