Comments Thread For: Roach: Clottey's Best Punches, Uppercut and The Headbutt

Trainer Freddie Roach is not worried about much when it comes to Manny Pacquiao's WBO welterweight title defense on Saturday night against Joshua Clottey. Roach is confident he knows Clottey's style like a book. He says the former champion from Ghana has big holes that Pacquiao will exploit with boxing and movement. [Click Here To Read More]

he does, but he also fights square and doesnt turn his punches over completely to get full extension. its why his best shots are all up the middle: straight right, uppercuts and jab.

okay, he is right though, his best punch is the uppercut and headbut, which is not a punch but whatever. I think he just needs to move around clottey and jump in an land combos and pop out, but come in on angles. spin him a bit. pretty much what freddie said. clottey does have a very good uppercut though so if he makes his attacks predictable he will get caught with the uppercut.
