I recognise that Brook has some skills, but he gets hit way too often. Look at what Floyd had achieved by his 20th fight and look at Brook now, he's not even European level yet.

I assume you're a fan of Brook. It's good to see some objectivity on here.

It's a shame other posters can't or don't want to see reality.

Brook appears to have some potential, and I'm hoping he does well. However, until his level of opposition improves, we have know way of knowing just how good he is or how good he can be.


Cotto isn't shot, far from it. I would have to favour Cotto at this stage.

I honestly cant believe this fight is being talked about. Im not familiar with Kell Brook at all except i know hes English so is probably overhyped a bit. A quick look at his record shows this: since the start of 2007 he has had 7 fights, the last of which a decimation of Michael Lomax (Prizefighter champ). I saw the prizefighter series and i wont watch another due to the poor quality boxing. Also the last 7 fights only covered 25 rounds of boxing (not even 4 rounds per) so it is clear he hasnt been tested at all. If he fights Cotto within a year he will not succeed.

Man, I like Brook too, but you're jumping the gun.

It has way less to do with what Cotto has left and more to do with Brook dealing with a step up in class like that. He has NEVER seen anything remotely close to a fighter of even a shot Cotto's ability.

Kell Brook was just scheduled to step up in class...against Michael Jennings. The same Michael Jennings that a SHOT Cotto fought as a tuneup and destroyed.

You're the one getting ahead of yourself here. I'm with you thinking Brook is the goods. Kid has got a lot of talent, but Cotto is not THAT shot.

No, its a ****ing shame that a man's only 2 loses are 2 a guy that got cheating in his next fight & the other 1 is afraid 2 take random drug test. (Im gonna givie him the benefit of the doubt that he's clean) just like I did with Margarito. After their fight, a lot of dumb Puerto Rican posters said he was on steroids 2 because of the blows he took on the chin from Cotto. Na, not me. I gave the man his props UNTIL he got cuaght trying 2 load up his gloves against Shane. Even with that, if it would have been a closer fight I would have not known what exactly 2 think but being how Mosley blew him out & ko'd him the way he did, I was convinced Tony was a ****ing fraud.

Damn my dude u just wrote some dumb ****...... Are u serious??? He aint as good as he was in 2007 but what makes u think this ****in bum would beat him? He's only lost 2 Margarito & Pacquiao. Cotto might not be great anymore but he deserves a lot more respect then what your giving him.
