That's how most of these "ducking" stories get started with any boxer. You get people who weren't paying attention to boxers' careers when these potential fights are current news, and then they hear someone else's revisionist historical take and assume that is how it went down. Add on top of that the fact that the mainstream media plays favorites, so if you're on the wrong side of that you're screwed. Nice read, and very informative for someone who hasn't followed boxing long.

it's actually hilarious because i remember when this was going down.....Arum was quoted as sayin he would be "working for nothing" giving Floyd guarantees like that......he clearly didn't see the potential Floyd had as a PPV star........and then he tried to withhold payment from Floyd for certain fights......i don't care which fighter you support that is a scum bag move..........

Goosen is hilarious .........it's interesting to point out though that the general media were actually pushing for Floyd to fight Baldomir and not Margarito at this particular time.....he was being criticised for fighting Zab instead of Carlos from everyone...............
