theyre trying to build both fighters. i think gbp was banking on hatton or jmm being available at 140 after the paulie fight, but hatton retired and JMM aint no one's ***** (other than floyd's). besides, JMM said he's going back down to 135.
khan isnt gonna fight the winner of cayo/maidana and he's definitely not gonna fight alexander. so who's left? maybe lamont peterson, but peterson might fight valero next.

my prediction for khan's opponent after paulie: juan diaz.

      FWIW, ortiz starches khan.
Ortiz Maidana and after Saturday Alexander all put Khan on his ass these guys all have big time power. Bradley probably knocks him out too but he's not a huge one punch guy hell outbox the hell out of Khan. I think he's too much physically(length and quickness) for JMM.

Why does it always have to happen now with you ***ing people???

The man said he wants the fight to be a big time fight before he puts Amir against him. What the *** is wrong with that?? it's not running it's just when you know the fight is gonna be tough you wanna make sure you get paid well for it. Fighting the number 1 guy for nothing is a waste.

Khan should be too good for Maidana but then again there will always be question marks on Khan's chin now until the end of his career.

But, a come-forward pressure fighter with a limited defence should be meat and drink for someone as quick and explosive as Khan.

Out of those fighters you mentioned Maidana is the easiest fight for Khan by miles. Khan should dispatch Maidana.

Roach and everyone with a brain knows Bradley is head and shoulders above Khan and that fight would ruin Khan's carefully managed career. Roach is not going to say that and will spin the line that it is a future fight and a big money fight. If Khan is going to great lengths to avoid Maidana no way is he fighting Bradley.
Bradley is very good,so good that he is already considered as a fighter that should be avoided. Alexander can give him a good fight but pretty well everyone else in the division is destined to chalk up another loss when they step in the ring with him.
As for Marquez that fight is not going to happen and it is easy to "talk" about fights that won't happen. Why not talk about possible fights instead of fights that are never going to happen ?

Roach is starting to get me down a bit....he told everybody after that silita fight on the post fight interview that we are scared of nobody and will fight anybody, all you read after are excuses for not fighting people! why do you have to build the bradley fight up? seriously when your a champ you should fight other champs! Bradley is well known surely, I just refuse to believe he is not that big of a draw already.

Roach is realistic, can't knock him for that.

EXACTLY! I re-watched the maidana and ortiz fight and maidana's defence is non existent. Even if Khan's chin isn't that great he could cruise to a win by just constantly landing shots from the outside.

I believe it's more about moving a fighter along at a pace that's right for him. No need to be so negative man. Khan is young, he has a lot of time on his hands.

Nobody really knows if khan can mix it with the top guys yet and im sure his team dont want to find out the hard way, i dont see any problem with building him up, it is after all only his first fight in the states, give him a few fights and see if hes ready or not, his match up v paulie is a good one imo, should be exciting and could go either way
