Margarito was ranked number 3 at the time Mayweather retired and Cotto wasn't even in the top 5!!!. Who the **** wastes time fighting the number three and five fighters at 147 (except Manny Pacquaio) for $7 or $8 million when you can fight the number one at 140 or 154 for $20 million? The answer, of course is ......... Manny Pacquaio!!!

******* here , not avoiding the thread. its boxing though there is always this crap going on, its a dirty business. I aint saying he ducked them, but if he fought them and beat those guys he would be a legit all time great. and he kind of did avoid them when he said he had nothing to prove in the sport and retired after the hatton fight. Margarito was an overrated Mexican hype job & cheater. He doesn't even deserve to have his name mentioned as much it does. Floyd never beat a real WW let the racist haters tell it. Floyd went through a period where he beat 3 men in a row (Zab Judah, Baldomir, Oscar) All 3 of those men held the real linear WW title at 1 time in their career. And Floyd moved up to 154 to fight Oscar. The truth hurts & exposes the haters.

Look **** stain, Floyd retire when it was time to fight Cotto. Margarito punked his ass like no other. After he got his money againts DLH and Hatton he could of faced Cotto and Margarito for his legacy and pride.

But floyd pussied out because Cotto lives in Puerto Rico, Margarito wasnt a draw!!!
