    Haters, bow down.

    KING KHAN IS COMING.
Most of the people calling him a nobody are other promoters who are mad that HBO and Golden Boy promised him so much money and so many coveted dates on HBO. While I agree that his name recognition as of today doesn't exactly justify the deal he got, I think HBO and Golden Boy actually got him got fairly cheap considering his star potential.

That said, he's in a really tough division. I have a hard time seeing him beat Tim Bradley, Devon Alexander and even possibly Victor Ortiz. Then if he goes up to 147 he's going to have a hell of a time beating Andre Berto, Shane Mosley and Floyd Mayweather.

But his star potential is undeniable. In the past year I've had three complete non-fans (not casual fans...complete non-fans) of the sport tell me that they like Amir Khan almost immediately after I told them boxing is my favorite sport. Die hard fans will watch him. He's just got to bridge the gap he has among casual fans. If he continues to win, I think he'll do that in 2010. He just has to win and I'm not positive he'll do that at the highest level.

The problem here is not with amir khan, he would fight in usa 2morrow and wants the big money unification showdays at the MGM etc.. but frank warren just like he does with all his fighters, wants him to stay in uk for at least another 2 fights he did that with joe calzhaghe and it was only when he sacked warren and became his own promoter that he finally had permission to fight in the states, and retired in style against jones.

I think khan should wait untill the contract is up with warren then join someone who is not going to move him around on cotton flying carpet, under warren he will get the safe matches with low money all his career or untill he is ready which will probly be around 5 years in warrens eyes, if khan thinks he is ready to take on the states then let the kid do it, thats what i say.

what can happen, he can have have another disaster like prescott which he is still young so can recover from again, or he could demolish the division.

A khan v Hatton fight would be so big in the uk, but also in the states, would be interesting where the venue would be for ths event.

Dude, Khan signed with Golden Boy about over a month ago. He's fighting in New York at MSG in two months.

yeahhh !! I love this thread !! I totally agree with you Flyboy. Other than Mayweather and Pacquiao, Amir is the most known boxer. Even Max Kellerman said prior to the Alexander-Urango fight that Amir has that star status.

KING KHAN is about to rule the world and you haters better bow down.
