    Post-fight interview: Devon alexander

    POST-FIGHT INTERVIEW: DEVON ALEXANDER
    where they talk boxing..

B-T: Cong**** on a great victory, can you give us some thoughts on your performance? "Aw man, we did what was worked on in the gym. We followed the game plan and Kevin told me the uppercut was going to be there and we worked on that shot the whole training camp."

B-T: Are you surprised you stopped him?

Devon Alexander: "Yeah kind of. He's got a hard head and doesn't get stopped. But people underestimate my power, that's what happened and I think he underestimated it a little bit."

B-T: How do you feel about your next fight likely taking place in St. Louis?

DA: "I'm excited about it, I'm hoping it's a big fight. Bradley, Amir Khan, Zab Judah, whoever, I'll fight anybody."

B-T: Do you feel that the two best guys in the division are you and Bradley and that's the fight that should be made?

DA: "Yes. I think that's what people want to see. I think people want to know who the best is and I think we need to fight each other to clear the air."

B-T: Zab made himself a part of your post fight interview. How do you feel about that and a possible fight with Zab?

DA: "I feel good about it. Whenever Kevin and Don get it right we're ready to rock and roll. I told my coach in training just line em up and I'll knock em down. But I'm still learning and getting better everyday. I'm a student of the game and I just turned 23, so I'm steady learning. I don't want to come out of nowhere with this, but I appreciate you G. You've always kept me out there and you were the first one who put me out there when I was 16 years old, you told them to watch out for me and you're looking pretty good about it now.

B-T: I certainly don't regret dubbing you The Great. How does a fight with you and Bradley play out?

DA: "Speed is going to play a major part. Bradley is a tough guy and he's got way more skills than Urango, but speed will kill him too. He never fought a slick southpaw, I don't think he's ever fought a southpaw to tell you the truth. It's going to be a confusing situation for him if he ever gets in the ring with me."

    B-T: Closing thoughts?

DA: "********** is the best boxing site in the world. I appreciate all of my fans, I love y'all, keep supporting me. If all goes well, I will be the undisputed champion in 2010."

Would love to see him and Khan. Too early for Bradley.

      Hes right.

      Bradley's hasn't fought a notable southpaw.

      Interesting.

      I still favor Bradley though.

I think Alexander can beat Bradley - don't know if he would but I'd give him a good shot. I just don't think it makes sense for it to happen now - for either fighter. There are bigger moneymakers in the division and these two fighters need to beat those guys up first before lessening their own bargaining power by beating up themselves.

Yea, I can see where you are coming from. I want them to fight now, but from a business standpoint, it may be best for them to build it up more. If they don't fight next (I have a feeling they wont) I just hope they both stay unbeaten so when they do fight its a big one.

They will. They're too good - particularly in that division. And both are going to get better.
