    Shane's next fight

I was just thinking, fi Shane were to lose to floyd, in any type of fashion, what would he do next, at this stage in the game he's not going to be a gate keeper. At 38 this might be the end of the road if he doesn't pull this off. He isn't a defensive fighter like B-hop so I don't see a him in the game much longer. What are your thoughts..

I think it's unlikely that he picks up much long term damage against Floyd and if he loses it'll probably just be down to him being frustrated by Mayweather's elusiveness. So for that reason I can't see him retiring on a loss like that. He'll probably go back to the position he was in before the Margarito fight; considered old and past it but still a top welterweight contender who can get big fights.

Paul Williams at 147 or 154. No reason not to fight him.

The beating he'll receive is a reason.

He already said he wouldn't not fight PW.

The Berto fight is still an option if Andre can get by Quintana.

pfffftt... its not like floyd is gonna KTFO or dominate him. a fight with pac is still viable as long as mosley loses by a controversial split decision.

ssm can still fight the cotto rematch and fight pwill... ssm can still fight 140 lbers that want to test the waters at 147 lbs.

I guess he has more options then i thought he had, Not sure if he can seriously make 140 and be effective but he could have a hugh pay day with Bradley at 140, that would be the most interesting fight at 140 even if shane loses to floyd..

I doubt Shane can make 140, or at least healthily. He's 38 and hasn't fought at 140 or under in 11 years. The only way is up really. He could probably win a title at 154...perhaps a rematch with Cotto when Cotto beats Foreman?
