yea, to me that margs fight ****** the life right outta him. it's like his development came to a halt. ive heard ppl say that once certain boxers experience their first knockout, they're chins are never the same. i kno cotto has never had much of a chin, but after that margs fight it just seems like his chin totally went away and whenever he starts getting beat, he loses his will to fight.

i gotta agree, after a while cotto got complacent in his training

Its not so much that Cotto is shot. Its that he is fighting the best fighters and on any given day anything can happen.
In Pac he was fighting THE besst fighter. So its possible Cotto wouldnt look great.

I also agree with this, cotto stepped in competition. big ups to cotto for not ducking and dodging the best. he could've retired and come back a year later to fight a lightweight but he didn't.

he actually would have won many of the rounds if not for the knockdowns...i think cotto lost his heart after that margarito fight. it's a shame, the poor guy peaked too early. he could have been an atg with his skill set.
how can u say he lost his heart of after the heart he showed in the clottey fight? other fighters would have quit with that big ass gash over their head but he wanted to continue

that night he proved to everyone that his heart was still there

agreed he has shown more heart than most boxers have its just that Pac was too fast too good. Cotto decided to train himself after letting his relationship with Evangelista disintegrate and maybe his ability to take a punch is degrading but it's not really a good indicator when you let Manny Pac tee off on you.

im talkin about the heart not just to continue, but to continue with the intention of winning. even in the clottey fight after getting headbutted, he became a lot more apprehensive. when pac suprised him with the knockdown, he changed up his gameplan and became more apprehensive. sure he continued to fight, but did he really think he could win???his heart didnt seem like it was in it.
