after the maywather farse, i think drug testing of pacman is essential, i dont believe for a second that he is on roids but alot do, and i know if i was him, i would want to clear my name and would be demanding one live on national tv.

I believe the boxing board of control should have a drug test (not random), 2 weeks before and immeditatly after the fight for all major world title fights from now on.

if they have been dirty in their career then leveling their playing field so that those that do not should expose that right?

if they haven't been dirty then I got to think they feel a sigh of relief knowing the playing field got a bit more level

to me boxing is really the last bastion where testing is so diluted, so disjointed, so bad that you can literally go state to state without ever testing for anything

What I find bizarre from most posts on this subject is that the majority of people opposed to these forms of testing happen to be Pacquiao fans (coincidence?).It would be interesting to see if these people would continue to justify their rigidity on these tests or form excuses IF Manny was tested positive.
My thought is-If it is a step in the right direction, more strict than NSAC's watered-down version of careless testing, and can give any user of PED's second thoughts-then why oppose it? Why not embrace a change from the testing that has allowed other athletes to slip through the cracks?
Pacquiao die hard fans that oppose this should ask themselves if it is a POSSIBILITY for Manny or any other fighter to abuse these substances.The answer is easy-it is a "yes".All fighters should be held to strict standards of testing.Probably more-so than other athletes since this is a combat sport and not just hitting/throwing a baseball...
Ultimately,as Manny had his own stipulations such as the $10,000,000 weight penalty (if Floyd was over the WW limit,he would not be allowed to fight in a WW fight.No commission would support this),there is nothing wrong with Floyd having his own single request.It is a simple trade off.The "bullying" excuse made from Manny and Co. is a piece of trash excuse...if Manny was confident of a victory in the ring,he would not be playing victim...(ironically,Freddie Roach had said he needed until later this year-not March,as that is a date too soon, to train Manny how to approach a boxer of Floyd's style...even now Freddie hasn't completed his "gameplan" as he has admitted just yesterday)...

Pacquiao fans are the true definition of Blind Followers.
They will denounce a A GREAT precedence for drug testing in boxing which would be great for the sport in order to not have too simply criticized their fighter...
