I know this is gonna piss you off and this is not meant as a flame, but this is why I felt Floyd was only asking these to get into Manny's head. If he truly believe in cleaning the sport up...why show up the commission and piss them off when you can work with them to take steps in the right direction. He basically came out bashing them and their procedures when he should have went to them in an attempt to get them implemented throughout the sport.

You are right, it start with someone standing up, but it needs to be done in the right way. Again why piss off and show up the people who can actually help you clean the sport up?
I personally see nothing wrong about proposing Olympic Style Drug Testing before a big fight. That is the right way in my opinion. All Manny had to do was accept, and if he were clean, we'd be watching a mega fight next weekend.

The is nothing demeaning, inconvenient, unjust, or any other excuse Pac fans continue to come up with, about random blood testing.

Take all the promters going up to the Sanctioning bodies especially Golden boy who has a good relationsip with Souliman and Mendoza the heads of WBA and WBC. And, say hey none of our fighters for your titles unless in all sanctioning fights there is random blood testing. Think about the promotes who spoke out on Pac. GBP, Shaw, and Dibella. Those are 3 major promoters in the U.S. You know how much money the sanctioning bodies will lose. You don't think they will move quicker?

HBO and Showtime can even participate. Where anybody who will be on a televised fight will have submit random blood testing. They have the power to do that. All the promoters and fighters can put pressure on the networks to do that. Just like how saureland did in Germany with the TV networks.

Honestly there are so much the powers that be can do. But, are not doing and nobody is seeing through that bull****... But, this is why I don't get on this debate anymore. Because, everybody has an agenda and not seeing the bigger picture.

If there was ever an award for post of the year....I would nominate this one right here. I co-sign this to the fullest.

This reminds me of People attacking rappers for violent lyrics when all it takes is a phone call to the right individuals and those so called "offensive albums" wouldn't get green light and released. They don't because they have agendas, and in similar fashion the action taken by certain individuals (Floyd, GBP etc) shows me that the only do what they do because they have an agenda.

I can't say how glad I am that Arum, Roach and others stood up for pac and didn't bow down to these ****.

Floyd isnt the commision, and he hadnt asked previous opponents.

I support it testing. What I don't support is the way Maywather is trying to introduce it. The reason being, it singles out one person from thousands, which is wrong. Simple.

If it's to become standard practice -- and just because Floyd is making the demands for his own fights doesn't necessarily mean it will -- it should become compulsory for all boxers rather than select individuals, in this scenario by one person attempting to bully another into it and gain mental advantage. We all know Mayweather plays mind games. Pacquiao simply will not give in. Both fighters have sizable ego's, therefore this is a no-win situation.

No need for a 50 page thread though.

If that is the case Burner then lets stop jumping so much Pac when is clear that more powerful people don't want random testing. I think it is hypocritical to just **** on Pac and when it comes to people who are bigger than Pac in the sport to just say ahh they don't care is whatever....

That to me is about contradiciton about Floyd too. If it is about cleaning up the sport like he says then he should got on Goden boy for it or threatened not to work with them anymore and move on to another promoter who will really care about the issue. And, if that happens I guarantee Golden boy will start caring. If Floyd threaten HBO about not fighting on there network anymore I guarantee you HBO will start carring...

Like I said bro, there is so much stuff that can be done. But, the powers to be are not doing it. I know you disagree. But, serious if people really wanted it can get done pretty soon too...

            They did.

Pac agreed to the testing remember.

But he wanted to know when the test will be and when they will stop testing. Which is about as good as not taking a test at all.

If NFL execs told NFL players when blood testing would come around, Rodney Harrison would have never been caught.

I agree with a lot in this post. This fight will happen with the tests and nothing will change with the commision.

initially, but after all the details came out then they refused.

Under a different set of facts, i will agree with you 100% about Floyd's proposal but not in this one where there was utter lack of respect on Pac. You don't ask anything from your opponent after casting doubts on his person and achievements. But if the proposal was made without a prior accusation, i would say Pac was not well within his rights to decline.
