People that are against taking random drug tests like Pacquiao.

This theory doesn't work because everyone thought the big home run hitters in baseball were the ones who were juicing when in fact it was pitchers to help with recover. Bottom line is that you can't just eyeball guys and single them out. I have noticed it's always who you least expect, which is why everyone needs to be tested with random OST.

McGuire, Sosa, Palmiero, Canseco, Bonds, Rodriguez...........do those names ring a bell? They were in fact big hitters and were all related to steroid use. I can only think of one pitcher who has been proven to be using and that's Clemens.

yes you are correct...it is used to catch individuals who are doping. If you noticed, that is one of the forms of performing enhancement that I pointed out as a reason to why these test won't work. Another thing is that is not just limited to catching people that are blood doping.

Also I never said they would walk around with a elevating levels during the offseason. I said that by testing year round, they would get a blood profile on an individual for comparision purposes. These levels could be kept in a database and used later on down the road. That way anything outta what the determine is normal, would raise questions.

Lastly, you do know that all boxers, who take their careers serious, train year round? Only dumb ass fighters like Hatton, Arreola, others slack off. Most camps are about strategy and game plan....not getting into shape, stronger etc (atleast not for those who take their careers serious)



Me and my professor had this same discussion. Basically he said if someone is gonna cheat they are gonna cheat. There will always be ways to beat the system and its a constant battle of making break throughs in testing vs guys finding new ways to beat current test. It's a sad reality that everyone must accept.



Of course if you aren't training then PED's wont help. Also what did I post that didn't make sense? Since it's easier to play defense why don't you answer this question:

How do you know if the level of EPO in a person is normal or abnormal...especially since every person is different? Also how would you determine if someone produces naturally high levels (of any harmone) vs someone who doesn't? Then once your done with answering those...how do you catch something that the body normally produces?

I would really like to know the answers to these questions from you.

It aint the epo that is giving u more stamina, it is the effects of it. elevated hct/RBCs. That is measured by the hct level. a simple blood test called a complete blood count. u take epo, u increase RBC production.

as far as hormone levels, its common medical knowledge that there is a certain range that humans have on a given basis. Anything above or below the norm would get a second look for the etiology. it aint rocket science, its medicine.

Why do some of you didnt want Pacquiao to take random drug test care or let alone why do some of you want Floyd Mayweather and Shane Mosley to take Olympic Style Drug testing if you do not want Pacquiao taking Olympic Style Drug testing?


Why do you care or why do you want Golden Boy fighters to take Olympic Style Drug testing if you do not want Pacquiao taking Olympic Style Drug testing?

In short why are some of you guys asking anybody to take the best possible drug test, if you do not want your own fighter taking that test?

He obviously doesn't know what he's talking about. He's attempting to use Baseball of all sports to support his stance that "you can't suspect people without proof", when nearly every baseball player the general public suspected of using PED's was eventually ousted for their PED use.

After Floyd asked Pac for this random drug testing and Pac declined, has Floyd done any step to make this mandatory among professional boxers? Or, will he just continue to ask his future opponents to agree to this random drug testing?
