  • Can Zab Judah really make 140 anymore?

I understand that he's too small for the WW division, but can he make the JWW limit anymore? He hasn't fought at 140 since around the time he beat DeMarcus Corley in 2003 (he might have had another fight after that, not sure), and in his last fight which was supposed to be at 140, both he and Ubaldo Hernandez weighed-in at 145...That makes it kinda hard to believe that he really did train as hard as he said he did. I mean even Jose Miguel Cotto KO'ed Hernandez so its not like he did anything surprising...

Yup. He wasnt really even trying to cut weight there, either. That leads me to believe he can still make 140.
He better drop down and start looking for a fight if he ever wants to get his career back on track.

Yeah but that was back in 2008. And after that he weighed in at 144, and then 145. And before that he fought at JMW twice. In certain situations like these, every lb counts. I just hope he doesn't go through too much trouble to make the weight when he fights Alexander, or whoever his next opponent is.

The fluctuation of weight after the clottey fight is because he's been unable to find a fight at 140. He walks around 154ish actually so he's shedding little to nothing when he fights there.

He can definitely make 140 still imo.

I agree. If he had stayed, surely he would have dominated and there could have been a unification with Ricky Hatton, and possibly Manny Pacquiao afterwards.
