[POLL] Does Donaire have anything to gain by fighting Darchinyan again?

Before his loss to Agbeko, I would say for sure. As of today, no. After Darchinyan lost, Shaw all of sudden wants him to fight Donaire again.

It's not like the first fight was close or controversial anyways. Darchinyan was outclassed and out fought every second of the fight, but after stopping Arce and Mijares, he deserved a second shot at Donaire. But as of right now Donaire should be going after bigger and better things like fighting Montiel, instead of fighting once a year against bums who can't even make it through training camp without getting injured. Having a rematch with Vic will only stall his progress even more. Donaire has already wasted too much time. A lot of it wasn't his fault, but it's time to step it up.

Yes, 2 belts at 115. The loss to Agbeko was at bantamweight, Donaire and Darchinyan would be at super flyweight.

Darchinyan has redeemed himself from that loss by dominating the fighters he did.

Of course he does. Who is Donaire going to fight instead? Eric Morel on some ****ty PPV card? No thanks. If he's going to be ranked so high p4p, then he might as well prove he's a top fighter still and fight Darchinyan again. Darchinyan is better then Morel./

Donaire dominated Darchinyan, but Vic more than earned his rematch. Darchinyan is ranked #1 in the division, Donaire #7.

darchinyan has had a great run since he lost to donaire. on the other hand, if donaire fights darchinyan for a second time, it will be the first thing he has done since their first fight.

Well, other than the belt factor who else can truly give Donaire a pay day? No one cares about the bums he's beating on Latin Fury or whatever those second rate PPVs are called.

no. nonito's moving up. it aint like vic is unfinished business. he already dealt with him and blew him out. there was nothing controversial about it.
it'd be like manny giving a rematch to cotto. floyd to hatton. hopkins to pavlik.
there's absolutely no need for it.

Too much time has been wasted on this possible rematch. The way I see it, Darchinyan is still bitter about the KO. If Vic believes it was luck, so be it. I'm glad Donaire is finally going to bantamweight. There isn't any money to be made fighting in the lower weight classes. There are alot of big names in the Bantamweight and Super Bantamweight divisions. One thing is certain though, he definetly needs to get in the ring more. He's exciting to watch and has alot of potential. Darchinyan should just end his career fighting in the Flyweight divisons.
