Alvarez could be really good in 3-4 years time. Right now he needs to fight guys at a similar level to him (up and coming/untested fighters) and then move onto the elite. If he goes and fights Mosley or Pac he will just get totally outclassed because he isn't ready for that level of opposition.

i like the idea of him fighting the winner of gomez/castillo
then maybe a fellow prospect like aydin or mike jones (although i dont think gbp would put him in vs jones), then another bout vs a name gatekeeper like a collazo.
either way, they should let him build his name on HBO before they put him in against the elite. he should at least be the main event of a BAD before he headlines a big money PPV.
id love to see him knock aydin's block off. i dont like that dude at all.Comment

I admire his hunger but he's got to wait out and be 100% ready before he can even attempt to take on a beast like Money, Pac or Sugar, he's dilusional.Comment

Thats bull****! I saw the interview yesterday and he did say he was ready for bigger names but when asked if he was going for a title after the Hatton fight he said that there was no rush and that he would take his time.Comment
