I hate to admit it, but I think Clottey and Malignaggi are gonna get stopped...

Yup, the #1 fanboy killer Boxerdood is back!

But anyways, I hear all of this talk about granite chins and fighters who have never been stopped before, even by bigger opponents. This needs to stop. Any fighter can be stopped with the right technique.

If you look at Paulie Malignaggi, yes he has a decent chin, but its not like he's never been hurt before. A green Miguel Cotto was able to drop him twice, but he was able to backpedal his way to the cards. He's also been beaten in a very lopsided 10 rounds before his corner threw in the towel when he fought Hatton. What do Hatton and Cotto have in common? They were big JWWs, had a mean jab and were slow punchers. Paulie also has overrated punch resistance. If Juan Diaz wasn't featherfisted himself, he would have beaten Malignaggi just as badly as Hatton did, or probably worse.

And then there's Amir Khan. Is he as strong as Hatton or a 140lb Cotto? HELL NO. But is he featherfisted? HELL NO. Physically he's a big JWW, with big dimensions too. Even though he hasn't faced the best opposition at 140, he's destroyed the fighters he has faced. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give Cotto a 10 when it comes to power, Hatton an 8 and Khan a 6 or 7. But look at the handspeed difference. Would you rather get hit with 10 punches from a 8 or 10, or 20+ punches along with accuracy and fast flurries from weird angles from a 7. That's the difference between Khan and Cotto/Hatton. While he doesn't hit as hard, he's ridiculously quick and will pressure you with combinations all night. Malignaggi won't be able to backpedal because Khan can keep up with him, and unlike Mayweather he doesn't have the best punch resistance and counters to keep up. If he did, I would have picked him to win by decision.

The same thing applies for Clottey. Yes he's never been stopped, but who has he really faced that has the potential to hurt him? Margo threw punches at his forearm all night, and Cotto backpedaled and bodyslammed for a majority of the fight. The one guy he faced who has decent handspeed was Chico, and he was as washed up as RJJ yet he still gave him problems. However if you put him in the ring against Pacquiao, a guy that can fight for 12 rounds and also throw fast combinations from weird angles with even better accuracy and great power in both hands, he can definitely stop Clottey. He's going to be looking for ways to break through his defense, unlike Margo who attacked his forearms all night. ****, even Mayweather Sr. picked Pacquiao for reasons that had absolutely nothing to do with PEDs. If you have Floyd Sr on your side and he hates your guts then you know your gonna kick some ass.

    My predictions:

Khan by 8th round TKO/KO (with KDs)
Pacquiao by 10th or 11th round TKO

Oh and I forgot to mention, I'm willing to place bets on the Pacquiao-Clottey bet right now.

man i dont see khan KO'ing malignaggi. he might surprise me and the move up to LWW along with his physical development could mean that his power improves as well but malignaggi is a slick operator.. hes not barrera, hes not kotelnik, hes not like the other guys we khan facing, hes a genuine top 5 fighter in his weight who has shared the ring with the best. malignaggi himself is a very tricky fighter with fast hands, his movement will mean that khan finds him hard to tag.

as for clottey and pacman, pacman might wear him down with body shots but even then clottey is simply so strong at this weight its phenomenal. his guard leaves very little holes for body headshots and even less for head shots. i see pacman getting a UD but i dont see KO in this fight.

Yeah, people are missing something that is real and that is...Clottey could stop Pacquaio. Pacquaio is beatable make no doubt about it. It won't surprise me if that is the outcome. I won't be surprised either if Pacquaio gets on his bicycle for the latter part of the fight.
