Why is this article even mentioning anything about Mayweather at all? This is supposed to be about Manny going into the home stretch against Clottey. Who cares about why the Mayweather fight didn't get made at this point? Its water under the bridge!

I know!! thats what ive been thinking. Ive been hearing in different sites that theres a clause limiting the weight on fight night. Everybody knows that being the bigger man is an advantage against Pac in WW limit, and then 2 days ago Clottey said he plans to weight no more than 155 pounds on fight night. WTF? why? being faster?? Im not so sure.
Pac wins anyway, but id like to have that clear

Probably not, it was specifically for Mayweather. It was a hopeful deal breaker but Mayweather called the bluff.... Roach already stated at that point that Pac "wasn't ready for a fighter like Mayweather" in March. It was clear as water that they didn't want to fight and didn't want to take a 25 million dollar test but would rather "fight" in court, fight a lesser opponent and take a small pay day doing it. Yet people bash Mayweather????

Although Pac likes to have advantages. If someone else gets an advantage he wont fight! Proven fact. Mayweather destroyed him in the mental game and Pac didn't want any part!

So yea, there might be a hush hush weight clause that Clottey must be dehydrated prior to the fight and if anyone says Clottey was dehydrated because of "the clause", Team Pac will sew!

Anyone know why they changed refs? I knew everyone hated the former guy, Laurence Cole.

I'm pleasantly suprised that Laurence Cole isn't getting the call.

Even though he is a horrible ref he almost aways gets to do the big fights in Texas because he is the son of ****ie Cole, head of the Texas boxing commission.

Clottey's a well heralded sports men in Ghana as I understand it. So that Ghanian Abdullai Amidu whose an up coming WW himself helping Pac with his sparring can't make him too popular at home?

I'm pretty sure he doesn't mind the pay, experience, and exposure with Pac.
