I think he sees the hypocrisy in his statement, which is why I brought it up and why he didn't respond to that point. Burner is a good guy on here now, so this isn't a flame towards him

I had a list and lost it, but bascially ever since his days at 130 he has always came in fight night between 144-149. So that alone tells me he can still make 135, especially since he always rehydrates to the same weight come fight night. If he starts coming in weighing in the mid 150's or higher the I will change my mind on him not making the lower classes.

The most amazing thing about Pacquiao is that he is doing something only two fighters, that I know of, in the history of the sport has done which is fight two weight classes above his normal weight and dominate elite fighters. Most guys may grow into a weight class etc....but Pac is a 135lb dominating WW's. Only other time I can think of was when Robinson was a big WW but going up and dominated MW's and when Armstrong was at 126 and was going up and beating LW's and small WW's. I say this because I'm blown away with the thought that most on this site think Manny against Margarito, Clottey, and Mosley would be complete wipeouts. I don't but to believe that a guy who should be at 135 can go up and dominate huge WW's is mindblowing.
Call him a JWW now, not a LW. But what he did against Cotto was amazing.

That is definately not a weight issue.

If you don't think Pacquiao could make 140 you are plain nuts.

I think they are saying they can't make it comfortably. Which I agree. And, that is what I said. I think they can make 140 easy. I think they will struggle to make 135. But, I think even though they will struggle to make 135 they will still be effective at 135. To make 135 they will not be on that 7,000 calorie a day diet. So they will cut down on the food intake to make 135.

He goes to 135 hed be a zombie. He is very muscular and wide at 147. Theres a reason he wanted the JMM 3rd fight at 145. Pac is not "small" like people on here think. I looked at him next to Clottey and Cotto. He is not a little dude. Hes just short.

If he can make 135 Id love to see it. Pac said hes healthy and can eat whatever he wants I dont think he would go to 135 or he wouldve did it for JMM.

If he goes to 135 there are Killers there that a weight drained Pac would lose to IMO. Im not even big on him but I dont want to see him drained.

You said he wasn't going back to 140 and then you said he is a welter.

I would contend that he is at the very least a 140 pounder fighting at Welter, maybe as Floyd was when he first moved up. Personally I think Pacquiao could probably make 135 at a squeeze, but there isn't really any proof of that either way.

Bottom line is I don't think its correct to say that Pacquiao is an out and out Welterweight.

Just like Floyd when he started he has intangibles and x-factors that allow him to compete at that weight.

Is Floyd a real 154 Pounder no? But he boxed Oscars head off because he had the skills to do so. Same with Pac he has the speed and power to compete at WW effectively. Until he steps into a WW fight at 140 pounds then I'll agree with you. But he doesn't. He weighed 145 for Oscar and Cotto and Roach said he'll be 147 for Clottey.

I think saying hes a 135/140 Pound guy at WW is a stretch. Hes arguably the hardest puncher at WW.

Well obviously it depends on what criteria you are going to apply in order to determine a fighter's true weight class.

I think Pacquiao could be very healthy and fight very effectively at under 140 pounds. Therefore, to me, he is a 140 pounder fighting at Welter.
