Floyd fans was hoping Floyd was Fighter of the Decade..

It was a land slide, the voting wasn't even close, as far as i know. and thats the way it should be. Floyd retired because he said he had nothing to prove, at that time he was in one of the great divisions of recent history, maybe all time. WW was loaded and he didn't fight any of those guys, not to mention cotto was undefeated at the time as well. If he were to have cleaned out that division, he would have been fighter of the decade and one of the best ever. In my opinion, he had something to prove, he just knew he couldn't prove it.

I literally have no problem whatsoever that Pac is fighter of the decade. He more than deserves it for what he has done in the past 10 years. Anyone denying those accolades can eat a ****.

just some FYI....most are caught up with his recent run but early on in this decade he was some incredible wins etc...but because they were at the lower weight classes no one gave a ****. He is very comparable to what Hasegawa is doing (Pac was more impressive by far though). Hozumi is just blowing by guys and looks very impressive but no one outside of japan really cares because of the lack of respect for the lower classes.

IMO his win over Hussein was huge because Nedal was a very good fighter and had a huge upside at the lower weight classes. Also Ledwaba was a very legit fighter at 122 (and had been a top tier guy for years)

I'm a huge Pac fan, but I gotta admit, if Floyd hadn't retired, fought at least Cotto and Margarito or Mosley, then it would be a landslide vote for Floyd.

Floyd biggest mistake was not fighting Margarito and than an undefeated Cotto. That would have really set the bar high for Manny. I doubt it that Floyd would still win FOD because he only win by decision. PAC is fighter of the decade because he's blowing these big guy away, he's not pot-shotting and trying to win a decision.
