"Who is Kell Brook?" A very good, promising young fighter, that's who. You'll be hearing more about him.

Yeah, if Mayweather is still around in a few years, you never know. ManPac will be retired before then. I dunno about Cotto, I don't think he'll be fighting for much longer anyway.

I put you up for consideration about 30 minutes ago, Locke. I PM'd ABOS yesterday (Alt Busters boss) and he told me to go ahead and put you up. We need to get the nod from other members, such as Mangler, Bat, etc.

Ah ok, thanks. Looking forward to working with ya.

            Now back to boxing.

Kell Brook, badly needs to stay active, big time, then so does Cleverley, Frank Warren had a tendancey to neglect his fighters during the Khan era, which is a shame, cos Khan will amount to less than those two and Mitchell.

Brook is a good fighter, albeit untested. His resume is very, very padded. And I can't see that changing as long as he is under Warren. I doubt we will see Brook tested against a top 10 welterweight for at least a few more years which is a shame because he is genuinely a class act.

Agree 100% on Brook and Cleverly, although I'm still gonna give Khan the benefit of the doubt. Let's see how he does in his American debut and take it from there. I reckon he did the right thing in getting away from Warren, but was signing with GBP the best move to make? I'm not convinced it was.

Probably not, but who else is out there? Top Rank are almost as bad, Don King is a vulture. Khan did it for the money, he knows his career has a very short shelf life and wants to make money in his next 3 fights before he gets KO'd for good. I'm sorry but he is making a mockery of our sport.

Khan's problem is that he is a big name and a big asset. No major promoter would be willing to put Khan in with the best at 140 straight away and risk that investment. Golden Boy are no different to any other promotion. The only reason it appears Bradley and Alexander are willing to fight anybody, is because they don't have any other option but to. Both have no real fan base. On the other hand Khan can sell out arenas fighting no-named opponents and make large sums of money. Alexander is a world champion with Showtime coverage, and fought a genuine 140 contender in front of a few thousand people. I don't think Golden Boy would have any reservations about putting Khan in with Maidana if he was only attracting a few thousand people to every fight.

That is why I feel sorry for Khan. I'm sure he would be more than willing to fight anybody, but his promoters just won't let him off the leash. He is too much of an asset to risk. I just hope Khan can somehow put his foot down and demand to be given a shot against the best.
