My hopes for Davis has be up and down and after tonight I finally realize he probably won't become a major player in the Cruiserweight division. A good fighter, but may turn into a stepping stone.

Yeah, he did have a Tyson thing going on, and the chin was pretty shotty. But all the same there are some guys who have made a pretty solid living being all offense and no real chin or D. I mean, look at Wladimir and Tito- both get dropped alot, hit pretty easy, but are LOVED by alot of fans. You never know, it might not be over for old (young) Kelvin quite yet.Comment

Chill out, I am not saying that they are the same fighter or anything-- just that I could see the resembalence. What is it with Tyson fans, hint at anything but the idea that Tyson is the greatest thing to walk the face of the earth and suddenly they got up on their shields! I mean, I like Mike as much as the next guy but people need to relax.Comment

I was at the fight and Davis looked like garbage. Looping arm punches with nothing on them whatsoever. Jones just took him apart with the jab and straight rights down the pipe.
Stoppage was premature IMO, but Davis was getting his ass handed to him.
A total disappointment, as I was excited to see him fight for the first time.Comment

He's not; he was losing the fight until the very end of the next to the last round when he hit Jones with a shot that made it hard for Davis to get back to his corner.Originally posted by jpboxer3Kelvin Davis just reminded me of Tyson.I knew his chin wasn't too good after seeing Bell floor him a couple times.Hopefuly this Jones guy is the real deal, because the Cruiserweight division aint too great.
Davis was still visibly dazed coming back out, and Jones threw side-arm haymakers that didn't even resemble boxing until the ref stopped it.
He still couldn't get Davis down. He looked heavier than a cruiserweight in person too.Comment
