    Pacquiao's jab.

Can someone give me a good example of when Pacquiao effectively used a good jab to dictate the fight? No bashing type stuff, I'm being serious here. I wanna see what Freddie was thinking when he coached Oscar against Floyd and how it would work with Pacquiao doing it instead.

a jab is a boxer's weapon. manny doesnt really box. he's used the jab before tho, but i wouldnt rly ever call it effective.

Yeah, thats what i was thinking but I thought maybe I had missed something somewhere down the line. It seems as if Freddie was dead certain that the jab would help beat Floyd and even blamed the loss on Oscar not executing the gameplan which was use the jab and go downstairs.

If Freddie was that sure about that gameplan, I don't see how he would make Pacquiao do anything different. That's why I wanted to see Pacquiao using the jab.

His jab was subtle but really effective at times in the cotto fight, it was pretty much a jab that dropped cotto in the 3rd round. It was really too fast for cotto and he couldn't defend it, I think he admitted as much, pac hasn't really got what you would call a text book powerful jab, it is often a short stinging jab, and he often uses as a feeler and then drops in the left hand. He uses it pretty well when he is turning a fighter, but it is far from one of his best weapons, imho

He ain't a jabber. Each punch is designed to hurt. You don't need textbook boxing technique to beat the **** out of someone. Just get to the point. Brutalize the opponent. I don't think he cares about trying to look cute. **** that.

His jab is a distraction its not even meant to hit you its just to get you to look at it then he shoots the left.

i only saw his jab clearly when he used it to measure the distance between him and his opponent...then came the knock out punch.

it aint even a connecting jab lol.

It's mainly used as a range finder but he sneaks it in there sometimes.

He actually jabbed the **** out of Cotto in certain rounds. Cotto lacks defense and the ability to adjust and had no idea what to do.
