Yeah, im sure you conviniently forgot they made Oscar wear 18oz gloves for that sparring session while Chavez wore 12oz. Also Oscar was only 16 or 17 still an amateur yet facing the Mexican legend.

thats why de la hoya beat the hell out of Chavez when they fought, he remember being dropped.

I think even then De La Hoya could have stolen rounds from Chavez in a real fight, he just didn't have the strength at 16 to hold Chavez off. Chavez would probably stop him in the 6 or 7th round be would be losing on score-cards.
