So when exactly does pacquiao run for office?

    April or May?

And do you think that may have played a part in the floyd fight falling apart? I've heard a few people say the people around pac didn't want him to risk losing a fight before the election, as it could affect the outcome.

    Thoughts?

I think is in May... But, I am not sure...

I think it was a combination of things. I think the fight not going to Dallas really hurt the negotiations, I think such fight and not enough time to really promote, and I also think Floyd being a risky fight where he could lose probably would of hurt his chances in the political game. That is why from early talks, even when everything was going well. I didn't think the fight was going to get done for March...

Well Mayweather if it does go through like I think it will. It be in November/December. He is running in May by June I think is going to be know if he won or not. So that leaves like 5/6 months to prepare.

What? From my understanding as soon as the clottey fight is finished he goes on his campaign. The election is at the end of april or in may some time. If he wins/loses he could still fight mayweather at the end of the year.

My question was if anyone believes he purposesly didn't fight mayweather (in march) because his advisers didn't want him to possibly lose a fight and jeopardize the election.

What if he wins though? Its just silly to do that on the brink of the toughest fight of his career. He needs to eat, sleep and breathe Mayweather or he will regret it.

If he wins? I don't know how this whole political thing runs over there... Maybe he won't really do much and have people do stuff for him... I don't know how hands on he is going to be as a politician...

If he wins there is a chance he may never fight again, or for a long time.

I really wish he would hold off on his politics until AFTER he retire for good, but that's pac for ya.

I dont think that is why floyd fell apart, i think manny had agreed to everything anyways, then floyd came back with the testing. plus i think clottey is a very risky fight, so if it was than either arum is an absolute idiot or he has paid clottey to throw the fight.
