    LoL, I dont know! haha

It was a good choice for self respect, but slows down his career

Once he knocks Cotto out he willl get all the exposure he needs

IF Cotto beats Abdullev and he doesnt fight Harris, then Cotto will officially be known as ducking Vivian Harris..
The way I see it man... Zab Judah fought Corey Spinks in the re-match for $100,000 US. He took a gamble and it paid off!

Vivian Harris would have made that same gamble for 12X the amount Judah was earning.

To me it seems more like Vivian Harris is looking for a retirement fund. I'm not sure he really believed he could beat Ricky Hatton...

Vivian Harris isn't that great... I've seen a few of his fights on Eurosport, and to be honest, I thought he lost the 1st fight against Urkal. A lot of people say Harris is great, but he isn't really... He's not really fought any top fighters!.. Besides Urkal. Harris would get beat by Cotto.

I agree. We haven't REALLY seen Harris' chin tested because Urkal is feather-fisted and Hurtado was past his best...

Cotto would hand him a beating. Theres no way we'll see Cotto fight again like he fought Corley. It'll be that stalking, defensive minded, body attacking, heavy handed Cotto that shows patience and composure. I seriously thought that Cotto was on coke in that last fight because he was so crazy out of the get go.

Harris is so dangerous because he can crack from distance, but Cotto would stop him in 9-10 with that body attack and RIGHT hook (thats right its an underrated weapon in his arsenal and people only look for his left).

Yeah... I think Cotto is the future of boxing! Everyone's writing him off now because of the way he got tagged by Corley.

And the Corley fight was the BEST thing that could have happened to him... He know's he's not invinsable now, and he dealt with adversity in excellent style. He didn't panic... He just took his time to clear his head. (Yeah I know, Corley did a **** job of trying to finish him when he had him hurt).

Vivian Harris is a proud man. And his pride gets into the way of his business judgement. He is tall, talented got a big punch but... His pride is the thing that hurting him the most. His pride is what made drop the Hatton fight and it eill be his pride that will be his ultimate downfall. I say that he might be a pryor of our days(not as good as pryor but cant get the big fight that will elevate him to a stellar status).

Well I'm not sure what fight you were watching? But Cotto was NOT losing the fight with Corley when it got stopped!

He was Hammering Corley... And Corley was gonna get knocked out sooner or later anyway. Corley had taken enough at the time of the stoppage.

Yeah, the stoppage was early, but the writing was already on the wall.

Vivian Harris is defending his title against Carlos Maussa for $75,000. Cotto's training expenses for Maussa may have been worth more than that. If your promoter told you, 'we can get you on this card, there's some great exposure but there's no money because it's all tied up in the main event. We'll get you someone you could beat, but all we could pay you is $75,000.' What would you do if you were Harris? Maussa has no chance against Vivian but it's a good showcase fight for him and it's great for him to be seen on the undercard of a major 140 pound title fight. I'm hoping the winner faces Harris in a unification bout. Why bring up Cotto and Harris in the same sentence? Cotto was his mandatory and opted to fight for the WBO belt against Pinto. Cotto's been moved via the path of least resistance. Harris has not. The Cotto people never made one offer to Vivian Harris after the DeMarcus Corley fight. Harris has been ringside at several Cotto fight, talked the fight and done everything but pissed on Cotto's lawn to try and get that fight. Unfortunately, the Team Cotto has no intention of facing Vivian anytime soon.
Dude, your not gonna put a young fighter with mountains of potential against a veteran boxer. Look what happend to Vargas. Moved him up too young too quick and killed his career. For young boxers each fight is a progression. Its a carefully picked fight in order to develop their skillz and at the same time keep them winning. Once the fighter has peaked in skillz and maturity and has beaten all the lower level competition, THEN you work your way up the ranks of the proven fighters. You don't just pick up a pair of gloves win a few fights and say "Oh yeah let me go face Mayweather now." Cotto has good people in his corner and they are taking their time with him, as they should. Don't hate on them b/c of that.

thats not a real educated prediction....cotto actually has better technical skills then trinidad..he could box...he just does not have the power of cotto......but cotto is still a strong puncher...I assume you are judging by that one punch that cotto was hurt with vs corley??? too many people think a fighter is bad hwen they are hurt..being hurt is part of the business....Cotto and Harris would be a good fight for the future of the 140 division though..
