Yeah true, By the time Bowe fought Golota he was washed up. And not taking boxing seriously. That's why I said its to bad Bowe did not have the motivation to be great. He could have but it takes motivation Lewis had that so do the Klitschko brothers. He had the abilty and when he trained hard fought better then Lewis or the Klitschkos.

That's where we disagree, I say prime for prime Lewis takes him out.

Bowe was getting hammered by Golota, Lewis knocked Golota out in 1 Rd.

Golata was doing excellent in the beggining and couldn't put Bowe away, he started to lose concentration and started to get hit with right hands by Bowe. The the low blows started to come in, Golata is incapable of finishing a discipline fight unless he is total control

Totally agree. I remember watching that fight live and thinking, Bowe is about to take this over now...then boom boom, low blows, fight over.

The poster that I was replying to used both their fights with Evander as a measuring stick for both fighters. I was just doing the same.
Why not measure fighters that way its not 100% at all. But either is using your imagination. Bowe fought Evander when Evander was in his early 30s. Lewis fought him when he was almost 40. Lewis did not perform as well. And Bowe was not in shape at all when he fought Golata. Plus I think bowe was a better in fighter with a better chin and could fight on the outside also.
Also Lewis had every right to say that 25% was an insult.

That's where we disagree, I say prime for prime Lewis takes him out.

To bad the fight did not happen. I would have liked to see Lewis handle Bowe's power but I don't think he could have.

I remember the image of Bowe throwing the WBC belt into the trash because he refused to fight Lennox. It's really too bad.

Unfortunately that publicity stunt will be remembered as Bowe refusing to fight Lennox Lewis when in actuality it was a press conference held by Rock Newman to discredit the WBA association. They tossed the belt because they deemed the WBA belt useless because of a rift with their promotion team and they had refused to give Bowe a unification fight.

Yes it is to bad. Bowe was good but not for very long. Taking to many punches was part of his problem. Plus maybe not being enough of a pro. There are many could have been fighters. I maybe should not discredit Lewis he is an atg.
