nope, floyd will not agree to fight outside the nevada, he knew he can't train without those xylocaine. For arguments sake, let's assume Pacquiao agrees to all of Floyd's stringent drug testing demands BUT insists that the fight take place at Cowboy Stadium in Texas. Texas is a state which prohibits xylocaine use for fighters, a drug that Mayweather is known for taking.
"Cleaning up the sport" means that all fighters should be drug free and Floyd should also be held accountable to a "higher standard"
Do you see this fight in Texas still happening?Comment

Cotto fought Pac in Vegas. Would you fight in Texas if you saw your opponent's promoter sitting in the owner's luxury box with the owner of the stadium and George W Bush? I sure as hell wouldn't. Texas does not exactly have a good rep for handing out fair decisions (Whitaker-Chavez, Malignaggi-Diaz 1) in the first place. I would not be comfortable that certain influences had not been exercised on my opponent's behalf.Home field advantage. He lives there. Just like Cotto never agrees to anything but MSG.
I think Floyd would agree to fight in Dallas if Pacquiao agreed to testing. If he doesn't, I would be baffled.
And I don't know why people see Xylocaine as a big issue. Floyd is not known for being a big puncher, he doesn't KO people on a regular basis. Hell some people think he punches fairly soft for a WW. So why care about Xylocaine?
Agree with you on the Xylocaine issue. It does not make you bigger, it does not make you faster or improve your stamina. It is used to prevent injury during training and tested for on fight night. Any attempt to equate it with steroids or other PED's is a stretch.Last edited by Ringthebell; 03-04-2010, 08:32 PM.Comment
