The Lincoln Theatre was packed to capacity (about 1,000 people) with fans and media for what I'll refer to as more of a pep rally than a news conference. Even after the doors were closed, there must have been at least another 500-plus people standing around outside wanting to get inside. Washington is definitely a good fight town.

What I thought was great was that both Mayweather and Mosley did their best to sign every autograph, pose for every photo and chat with the fans after the formal program. In what other sport can a regular Joe get so close to the stars?

      Good to hear.

I appreciate Raphael for consistently writing about boxing for a mainstream network. I really do.

But I resent him getting into personal beefs with the athletes and trainers.

Its not his job. He is just a journalist. He doesnt need to try to become a personality. Whats worse is you already know he did this because his feelings were hurt for being booed by Floyd fans, in his hometown. Thats *****-like, if you ask me.

Fact of the matter is that Roger is a fan favorite, one of the main reasons why 24/7s are so entertaining. He pisses more boxing knowledge in a day then Raphael will ever have. Roger is part of the show... so I say let him speak.

this is where Dan Goossen failed Paul Williams IMO

I always thought cities like DC Cincy and Atlanta were possible hotbeds of boxing fans looking for someone to get behind

judging by the large crowds at this, the great attendance shows in Cincy get I was right
