Yeah Brewster is definately underrated, he is a decent fighter. Hell Wladimir lost to Ross F'N Purrity and he was considered to be the next heavyweight champion.

Have you read the article about why Brewster ****** ass against Meehan so much? He admitted why, curious if you had read it?

Brewster needs to win this fight, and i think he will. if this can take klitckho's bombs, he can certainly withstand any pressure applied by Golata, and Golata isn't as tough as he looks.

He really did not take Klitschko's bombs all that well though, as he was hurt multiple times and hit the deck. And against neither Klitschko nor Meehan did he show the kind of offense that is going to get the job done against Golota. Golota may not KO him, but he is going to win this fight- make no mistake about it.

I cant find the article now, I will look harder but in a nut shell though, Lamon stated that: He and Meehan was friends and he knew if Meehan was blown out of the water that he wouldnt get another shot and it hurt him to know he was a trashman with children and wanted him to receive another decent payday. On top of that right before fight time Lamon said he ran into Meehan and his children at the hotel and they ran up and gave him hugs and they were a nice family. He said he wasnt mentally into the fight because everytime he looked at Meehan he seen his children and didnt want to see them do without. Basically that was about it, there were a few more tidbits but if I find it I will definately post it.

That could be taken as an excuse but who knows if he was slacking or not, either way all excuses aside Lamon came out and said he wanted him to get another decent payday to support his children and he was lazy in the ring and the fact he saw his children at ringside and right before the fight was emotional and he wasnt all there.

Boxing is a hurt sport and a mental sport and if you are not there you wont fight at your full potential, in some capacity I do believe that is the real reason for Brewster getting lazy. Also Lamon has said numerous times that the fight was too close and wouldnt have been surprised to see it go to Meehan.

I made a thread about it last week. It should be on the first or second page.

Boy did I blow that call. I'm still stunned by Brewster's first round attack. Never seen him like that before. It's not fair, playing a new card after I've made a call
