Marquez is a dangerous fight for Khan I can't see him and his handlers wanting that fight over Malignaggi. To me the Marquez fight was never on and an illusion to provide credibility and cover for the elaborate Maidana duck deal.
GBP really pulled a stroke in getting Maidana to sell himself short.
I thought Khan/Warren wanted the Maidana fight, but GBP/Freedie Roach had other plans.

Calzaghe did it with Warren and came here and fought Hopkins. Maybe Warren would of been more able to the JMM fight together then GBP.

I don't think Warren "wanted" the Maidana fight but with him as mandatory he would be presented with either setting up a fight with Khan or vacating the title. I take all the talk about Warren wanting to set up fights with Maidana and Bradley with a pinch of salt. That is sour g****s talk.

warren was complaining how roach was taking an active role in who khan fights. roach wanted jmm and warren couldn't deliver jmm, but gbp can.

unfortunately for khan, jmm is doing the smart thing and returning to 135 lbs where he belongs.
