Why didn't Paul Williams want to fight Sergio Martinez at 154?

Martinez was a champion at 154 afterall,and Williams wouldn't have had a problem in making the weight.

Martinez would probably have been more effective at 154. But I doubt he could have knocked Williams out at 154, Williams got a good chin.

Is that so I though there was a lot of money behind a Williams vs Martinez rematch. In fact I remember hearing that the cable networks wanted that fight more than Pavlik vs Martinez. One thing is certain Williams will have to fight the winner if he wants to keep saying he's the most feared man in boxing.

Are you guys forgetting that it was Martinez that was replacing Pavlik?

Why would Martinez replace Pavlik but ask that the fight be held at 154?
