Many Rigo fans were critical about Caribe... several others were critical with Top Rank's contractual loose ends with various known stars...

So when heads say that Sturm ducked Golovkin, I research old stuff from Boxingscene. I didn't know that both Sturm and Golovkin had beef with Universum, and that Sturm wanted nothing to do with Universum when the mando hype surrounded Sturm vs Golovkin. I thought boxing fans like these types of fiascoes

Then again, Golovkin fans don't like to acknowledge Nelo's All Star case being a problem during Nelo vs Lil'G mando.... just trying to be consistent with industry news. New boxing fans should read bumped threads and context

Kigali is not Lalin, if that's what you're referring to. Lalin may have a major thing against GG fans but Kigali is just toxic to everyone and gives no ***s about consistency or logic.
Lalin at least puts together ideas and will support what he says with facts. Like him or not, it's whatevs. I know he pisses a lot of people off. But, he doesn't do that Kigali shyt.

Help me out here, this article stated that both Sturm and Golovkin had problems with Universum, so how in the hell could they fight let alone any theory of "ducking?"

Sturm said his contract ended in 2009, Universum said 2012...that's not some info to just practically ignore... then it says that Golovkin didn't have a contract with Universum...

Are there any followup articles from this? Seem like industry acknowledged the circumstances and left it alone... years later Golovkin fans claim Sturm ducked Golovkin.

I don't know. I haven't followed that and have so little interest in it. The GG crowd has thinned so much because they know his days are numbered that I don't even bother arguing with the few remaining Golovkids.

i can tell you this...after that article was published, both sturm and golovkin's next fights were not promoted by universum. sturm kept his wba title and defended it while golovkin fought for the interim wba belt. take that however you want.

I actually want to see Golovkin at 168. He himself has said for years it was easy and addressed "but who can I fight there?"

A lot of Golovkin fans don't see that Schaeffer's WBSS was actually great timing. This is an opportunity for Golovkin to jump on for the winner of Eubank vs Groves. If I recall, Golovkin smashed one Groves' ribs...or that Golovkin would beat Eubank Jr., so logic tells you, if he beats any of the two, he's in the mix to be #1 at 168 shall he beat the current and longest defending champ in Ramirez. The radar should even be on Caleb Traux as HBO also has a spot for Danny to be a 168 champ.

Golovkin has had some fortunate salvation to make more money. He needs to get a new trainer and ditch Snachez. Focus on not getting tagged like previously when going to 168....cause EZ fomi has a chance...

He can't drain at 160 anymore. Lil'G vs Jacobs at 168 for a title shot is great for boxing. Lil'G fans are snoozing.

I'll take it that when Sturm was elevated to Super Champ, that was a 2 year run above Golovkin, the same length of 2 years as Jacobs under Golovkin with the Regular title...but industry didn't instigate or push the fight as both Golovkin and Jacobs didn't as well..

Seeing how Sturm was a made man since 2006, and robbed agaisnt Oscar, it made more sense for Sturm to unify with Geale since the Aussie had been defending his strap for a minute...

This is why pose, why didn't Golovkin rank higher in other orgs since 2006 assuming how good he was....look at Loma's rate and investment from Top Rank matchmaking. Since 2006-2010, Golovkin should've had mando opportunities or #1 spots in the other orgs, no sweat for threats... It has taken Golovkin more than a decade to finally get meaningful fights....

                  I'm Golovkin's lawyer, trust me
