Well from what I can understand, xylocaine unlike aspirin or vitamins is illegal on the week leading up to the fight and on fight night. But according to HBO, Mayweather has used it for fights???

anything used to mask the pain therefore effecting one's performance should be illegal. Is there any proof b/c the truth is if Mayweather has Lidocaine injection that is a form of PEDs.
XYLOCAINE Parenteral Solutions 0.5, 1, 1.5 and 2% contain lidocaine hydrochloride 5, 10, 15 and 20 mg/mL, respectively. Solutions with epinephrine contain 0.010 mg/mL (1:100,000) or 0.005 mg/mL (1:200,000) epinephrine.Comment

xylo, allows one to train without feeling pain, which equals,
performance enhancer.
If no xylo is used, the hands start to hurt, therefore, limiting training.
So whats really happening is, Floyd is being allowed to train beyond his means due to performance enhancing drugs.

lol come on man, this is bs...in every sport they use some kind of numbing drugs to mask the pain...football tennis soccer, they surely use em in table tennis as well lol. They are very very different from steroids, epo or hgh. Take legal painkillers away and you wont see sport period
props to you for using your brain before posting and coming up with the most intelligent (yet still obvious) post on this thread......
painkillers are used today, have been used in the past and will continue to be used in the future by boxers and other athletes in all sports.......
Xylocaine is not in the class of HGH, Steroids, HBOC's---->( doubt any1 can get there hands on any HBOC's though) and other blood doping agents.....people are blowing this issue out of all proportion to take the heat off Pacman......Last edited by check hook; 03-04-2010, 07:05 AM.Comment
