Pacquiao-Clottey may not have the best promotion going on

But it will still do solid numbers with out it, although having the fight in Cowboys Stadium is already a good promotion tool.

You guys are not seeing the bigger picture. Manny Pacquiao is the most famous, most accomplished star from the Phillipines. I cant count how many random Filipinos I have met who I ask about Pacquiao just to see if they know him and I score every time. Like Ronnie said, Pacquiao is bigger to the Phillipines, than Michael Jordan was to the U.S. The Phillipines is 12th on largest country by population. Filipino/Americans are the 2nd largest Asian group in the United States. It is estimated that there are around 4 million Filipinos in the U.S and they all love Pacquiao.

What is your definition of solid numbers? I personally have a bad feeling about the PPV buys. I still want to go to Dallas, but unless I pull some **** last minute, I'll definitely be contributing to the PPV total.

            it'll do good numbers.

            500k or so.

750k if it does real good.

anything a lot less than 500k is a real disappointment.

you know what's funny, im dating a filipina chick & every pacquiao fight they have a party. at the very minimum 20-30 people. If there are 4 million filipinos in the U.S., & im pretty sure every time pac fights they are watching, if you do the math & do a conservative calculation:

4 million filipinos watching ppv divided by lets say 20 people (conservative number of flips in a party ordering ppv) that equals to 200,000 ppv buys.

The david diaz & jorge solis fights back the math up. solis & diaz fights were before pac hit the mainstream & both fights failed to break 300k due to the fact that it was only filipinos & hardcore fight fans who bought the fight.

its amazing the kind of numbers he's pulling now.

                    can't be too high.

they haven't spent much advertising on it.
