According to a recent report(26 Jul 2009 11:38) in The Sunday Mirror, Ricky Hatton's recent stay in the hospital was due to an illness brought on by his wild lifestyle that is filled with very poor eating habits and long nights at the pub. Hatton, who has a heart murmur, was told by doctors that he needed to stay away from booze and stay on a good diet - or his life could be at risk. During his stay at the hospital, doctors found an irregular heatbeat, according to the paper.
A source close to Hatton told the paper that Ricky wants to continue his career and doesn't see anything wrong with his current physical condition. Hatton refused to comment on his health when reached by the paper.
“Ricky thinks it’s all a storm in a teacup, feels fit as a fiddle and wants to carry on training and fighting," the source said.

I dont really like Hatton but i hope he doesnt comeback, Because if he did he would get KO worse than the Pac fight, And the fact that Hatton is fatter than Naz who hasnt fought for 8 years now is a disgrace to Hatton.

Age in boxing means nothing, Its the wear and tear of the body that tells us a whole lot of a different story, Mayweather might be older than Hatton in age but Hatton is well older than Mayweather in the wear/tear of their body.

Floyd says Ricky took the defeat like a man, so I guess Floyd didn't read all the articles with Ricky complaining about Joe Cortez and the elbows, etc??

Hattons style lends itself to wear & tear thus his body is worse shape than Mayweathers. Common sense chap.
