    Why? After Lennox and Wlad was on his comeback after getting KOd he was considered the #1 HW until he retired, and after a 4 year lay-off he came back and dominated the WBC champion as well as three solid HWs, and is a 3-time HW champion. I think that's good enough, but of course it's not up to me, time will tell.

        He was considered the #1 HW for how long exactly? And who did he beat in that time?

            Less than one year, Sanders and Williams. But remember, he's still fighting right now, what if he fights, say, Valuev and Haye this year and beats them both?
