Mitchell is the better boxer so Im hoping he can stay disciplined like he did in the Prescott fight. Although Katsidis is a step up and I have a feeling he'll drag Mitchell into a tear up. I say Kev gets off the deck to take a decision.

So you're hoping that he'll be luckier than poor Earl, eh. :wnk1:

Didn't think the poll would be this lopsided.

I'm guessing it might be over for Katsidis if he loses this one. But if you gotta go out, might as well go out in a FOTY candidate.

This is the type of fight that is decided depending on the game plan and tactics Mitchell chooses to employ.

Mitchell looks slick enough, but he won't win this fight on the inside. Katsisdis' pressure suffocated Escobedo, but Mitchell has better footwork.

Mitchell won't be able to just bounce around on the outside for 12 like he did against Prescott though, he's gonna have to stop and fight for a few rounds. I got Mitchell by close UD.

I would then favour Mitchell by a tiny margin, but only on the basis of the Diaz-Katsidis fight (we saw how gunshy the latter was back then, following his first ever defeat. He's back to his old self now).

Either way, Katsidis late TKO or SD. This fight is easily more important to me than Mayweather-Mosley.
Want to bet? I got Mitchell.

            Say 300k each?

I agree Katsidis is a big step up, but having seen Mitchell's past two fights I think he's ready.

depends on how mitchell fights,if he gets involved in a war then he loses but if he boxes then mitchell wins, either way great fight and about time warren pulled his finger out and payed some attention to other fighters like mitchel, hopefully kell brook gets a good fight soon aswell

I see Mitchell takig this with a late TKO. Or Katsidis could even get stopped on cuts.

                    Just two weeks away now.

This is one I'm looking forward to.

People act like Mitchell is a slick boxer type. It isn't true. He has been a brawler his whole career and can fight like nobodies business on the inside. It just so happens that he can box too, and uses it to his advantage against bigger, stronger fighters.

I have a feeling that Mitchell will box Katsidis in the early rounds, and then switch to a more aggressive style throughout the middle portion of the fight. If he starts to lose rounds, or finds Katsidis too strong he can then revert back to slick boxing and close the fight down the stretch. Although I believe that Mitchell is a better brawler and boxer than Katsidis and should win the fight whatever style he chooses to employ in this fight.

It's going to be a great fight, but I can see Mitchell stopping Katsidis around the 10th. He is younger, fresher, and has more to prove than the battle scarred Aussie.
