Remember this *******s - bob arum will inflate "the event" PPV numbers

dont get too excited if you see that pac/clottey did over 1 million buys because its NOT true. bob arum is going to lie as usual to make his company look good

this fight will actually do 400k buys and mayweather mosley will do over 1.5 million

isn't this an HBO event? HBO being a public company has to share the PPV numbers.

So bob arum will no doubt inflate the numbers in the begginning as he always does, but after time goes by the actual figures will be known (or very close to it).

I think it will do around 700,000 buys, which is very good in this day & age.

He said Cotto-Margarito done over 500k. Yet the numbers were never officially released by HBO or Top Rank

Arum will inflate the numbers ( like he always does ) but the truth will come out eventually

        500k - 700k PPV buys IMO

        Not bad

You are right. He said that he expected Pac/Cotto to do between 1.5 and 1.7 million buys. When the numbers actually came out it was 1.2 million.

The numbers may be inflated or it may not. I don't see a reason for him lying unless he says it sold more than 1.5 million. No matter what this fights PPV do, it will fall short of the May/Shane fight (which isn't a bad thing considering this fight with Clottey is a glorified "busy" fight). With that being pretty much common sense, whatever edge he hopes to gain (if he does inflate the numbers) in negotiations is moot since it won't be better than the May/Shane fight.....But even still, who cares? If this fight does 200 or 2 million, people still wanna see Pac and Floyd fight. You can still expect record numbers outta that fight (given both men win their upcoming fights).
