Good to hear. Augustus is a fun guy to watch. Thanks for the info.

Augustus is the man. I don't care what anyone says, when he is focused he has the skills to beat just about anyone at 140 including KZ, Cotto, Mayweather, Hatton, and Harris. He has a chance because he is sooooo good at what he does yet he loses interest and clowns around. He said in an interview that now he was serious about boxing and had even given up smoking weed. He also takes most of his fights on less than two weeks notice so is at a serious disadvantage.

I noticed you agreed with most of the things, I said. So, what is there left to clear up?! !!!

If you notice, I didn't take any side in the Burton (aka, Augustus)- Burton fight. I merely narrated that Augustus was deducted a point, and the reason for such a deduction. So, what got your hackles up? Because I didn't know they were not relatives?!

Re: Vilches, I said so on the post that Augustus took the fight on two days notice and yet, won! One of the two victories he had in ten fights. And, I repeat, he had two draws in those ten fights. I didn't state the obvious: he lost 6! You'd rather that I did?

I put it in my post, likewise, that Augustus was stopped only three times: once by TKO (Floydd), and twice by KO (Vester and JChavez). Would you rather that I added that "he's durable"? I allowed the facts to speak for themselves. I see that you're not arguing against any of the facts!

Your answers to all my questions, were the very answers that were obviously begged by those questions! So...?

If, in your eyes and others', Augustus is better than most of those Hatton has ever faced in the past, doesn't that speak volumes of both Hatton and the quality of Augustus? You say a win against Augustus is better than 85% of those over previous Hatton opponents? Okay. But who belong to the remaining 15% who are equal or better than Augustus? Tackie? Vince Phillips? McGee? Kripalov? Hutchinson? Pedersen? Stephen Smith? Hatton met all of them and remains without a single loss. Remember?

I never called Augustus a journeyman. You did. Shows me how high a regard you have for him.

If Augustus hasn't done much to his career, why look at me? Look at Augustus! Shouldn't you? Chat him up through the web and tell him your thoughts! If you want to help him, you sure are looking the wrong way!!!

I could see the crowd going crazy for Hatton and Augustus loving every second of it. I think he would feed off the crowd rooting against him and start scoring and dancing and smiling. This one would have fight of the year written all over it. I think Augustus will be showing Hatton up but would end up clowning around on lose on the scorcards. Only a dream fight though. Theres nothing to gain for Hatton besides the respect of the US fans, but there everything to lose.
I think Augustus would box circles around him.

Emmanuel Augustus is ****ing great and a focused Augustus can give anyone trouble. His record is a resume of fighting the cream of the crop, and damned if he hasn't been robbed of a few decisions throughout his career.

I always like watching him fight, and I could definitely see him giving Hatton some trouble.
