Are you kidding me ? In a classic sense, you're right. But, for the style that Tito had, he was great at it.
In order for that power to work, he had to know how to set his opponents up, in order for that power to work, he had to be accurate, which meant having a good sense of distance and timing !!
On top of his monstrous power, he was deadly accurate, had every combination in the book, was chinny but came back even harder !!
Tito Trinidad threw some of the most fluid combinations I've seen. Y'all are too caught up with the flashy/RJJ **** !!
You're right, Tito was very accurate. I always thought he was one of the most accurate punchers ever when it came to placing power shots. And he was an outstanding fighter. But I have to agree with -No Ciellings- Tito was a good boxer with great power. I don't think Tito was anywhere near as good of a boxer as Sweet Pea. But who is. Tito was a good boxer and a outstanding fighter. Different fighters have different styles, and Tito's style was perfect for him. I personally think the title of this thread is ridiculous. It's not that he couldn't box, it's that he took all of his intangibles and perfectly put them together.
