Hard to believe there are people out there that think they can make a case for Mayweather being hard done by when there are far more inconsistencies regarding him.

      The audacity!

I guess it makes it LOOK! like he is undervalued though more than any of the criticisms or inconsistency having validity.

          To the OP:

Those types of arguments do work and your points are commendable.
There is one kink in that armor though.
Floyd's mouth....and that's where the problem comes in.
He's good in picking the bigger (money-wise) option out there with the least amount of danger. His style of boxing really helps out here, so in a way his "skills pay the bills" is true...to an extent.

However, his "Money" persona goes sour when he starts to talk about taking all comers.
Yeah, so long as the payout is high and the threat is manageable.
That's the problem that I have with Mayweather.

Seeing him fight with Mosley is a great start in Welterweight. Hopefully sparks can fly and it can really work out well. We'll know the answer in two months.

I agree with you and tune ups are a part of boxing, but the TS cant make statements like "Floyd beats Marquez in a way a big brother beats his little brother up and he's a cherry picker and lacks killer incstinct because he didn't KO him" and wonder why one would be criticized for not being able to KO a smaller, older, weaker tune up fighter. The people I hate on this site worse than anyone are the Floyd always gets picked on pieces of ****.

If that's what it is, then why do Floyd fans want him to get full credit for it? The fact is Floyd wanted people thinking that he easily beat the guy that Pac had trouble with. Nevermind the fact that JMM has never fought in that weight class before and that Floyd came in 2 lbs overweight. He never mentions that. I have no problem with giving Floyd credit, but only for stuff he deserves, not **** like this.

they're really supposed to test you, you should preferably take a tuneup in your own weight class as well and not bring him up 12 pounds to fight you.

Jro can fill this thread with manny double standards but wont do it for floyd.

like pac being ranked high on the ATG list for beating two shot, over the hill, shell of their former selves ATGs named MAB and EM.

pac gets credit b/c they are names not b/c they presented challeneges

For the same reason that Pacquiao gets credits for his tune up victories over Oscar and Hatton.
