A fighter doesn't need the most technically impressive skill set in the world to win fights, though. There are things that are visually hard to measure, such as heart, will, mental strength. Us human beings are capable of insane things when the mind is in the right place, and since boxing is at least 50% mental, you have to look at the whole package and consider things other than just the technique.
