Pacquiao vs Linares a 126lbs who wins?

I always liked Linares. There something about his style, very educated. Reminds me of Canizales - he looks like a pure boxer/puncher. Very nice to watch and very comfortable in the ring.Jorge Linares, along with Hozumi Hasegawa and Edwin Valero... they make up what I call the "Trifecta". I already boosted the hell out of Hozumi and Valero since I got here to Boxing Scene. And it looks like they are somewhat popular now (now people making Valero usernames,
). Now it's time to give Linares some love too.
Since the title baits you in. Who do you think would win if they faught at Featherweight?
But I think, Pac's speed trumps Linares at 126. Also, Pac's power can't be ignored at that weight.
What up giftboy?Comment

lol, I got to reveal my secret to this thread.I always liked Linares. There something about his style, very educated. Reminds me of Canizales - he looks like a pure boxer/puncher. Very nice to watch and very comfortable in the ring.

I originally intended for this thread just to be about Linares' highlight video. But I knew that Boxingscene doesn't respond to just a video. So, I used a hook to reel people in. So I put the title "pac vs linares 126" which pulled people in. What would have been just a 2 page thread got turned into a 10+ page thread due to intelligent advertising. You see how I do? Same way I got Hasegawa and Valero boosted up on boxingscene. lol
I still think Linares would give it to Pacquiao though. The only way I think Pacquiao wins is by a 12 round epic, insta-classic brawl. Pacquiao has that ability to force people into a brawl even if that wasn't their gameplan. Otherwise I see a beatdown in Linares' favor. The match up just leans towards Linares' side, analysing the the pros and cons. Linares has much more pros at 126 than Pacquiao did. That's why it leans towards Linares' favor.Comment

Pac was about to start his once-in-a-lifetime run starting at FW and I think a green Linares couldn't have stood in the way. It took a battle tested living legend in Morales to beat Pac by UD. All the other prospects, contenders, champs and former champs were KTFO'd. Same will happen to Linares. Pac was on an unbelievable HIGH (pardon the pun) at FW.
I still like Jorge's style and I wish that he could fulfill his potential. This guy needs to go to GBP, Shaw or Arum and get more exposure. He is a joy to watch. Nice form, timing and can hurt you with both hands. The fight with Diaz proved that he could also overcome difficult fights/fighters.Comment

if that unknown fighter knock linares out in round 1 how will he gonna survive to a more proven fighter that has a stamina that could last for 15 rounds. pac's straight left will find his mark for the whole 12 rounds against linares.Comment

Just because he was unknown doesn't mean he sucks. The dude was Undefeated when he faught Linares. And since then he only lost to 1 guy and that is Uchiyama who is also undefeated; number 1 in japan, and number 4 in the world.
Why are you on Boxing Scene. This aint a basketball forum nor is it the lounge.
In defense of Jorge. Pacquiao and Jorge have both faught Oscar Larios. In the same year too. Pacquiao had a UD against Oscar Larios, going all 12. Linares beat the **** out of him in 10. A year later.
Jorge would beat Pacquiao. Sorry guys. I like Pac too but the skills pay bills.Comment
