kudos to the comment about shane contributing more to the sport and giving the fans more respect, because that couldn't be any more evident or true given his fights over the years.
comparing shane to gatti continues to blow my mind. gatti was never p4p or even a-list, he was very popular and entertaining, a true warrior who made bank because of it. but if you think mayweather will outclass shane you haven't watched enough mosley fights (OR mayweather fights for that matter).
mosley and gatti are similar in their mindset but you better believe if they had ever fought shane would have put him to sleep, not just torture him to a stoppage. there's a difference in the way shane ko's and floyd ko's. floyd's are always accumulation and he typically only gets the tko's on smaller men. the only examples that go against that i can think of are diego corrales but 135 was a different world for floyd. and as far as gatti, like i said gatti was never considered world class even in his prime. same as mickey ward- they made each other famous.
at 147 he pretty much just outboxes and hopes his hands dont break. if shane wins i promise you floyd will say he broke both of his hands or something to that effect.
