(LAS VEGAS, NEV.) – Andre “The Matrix” Dirrell (Flint, Mich.) (18-1, 13 KOs) will make his long-awaited Detroit debut on Saturday, March 27 in a super middleweight clash with former middleweight champion Arthur Abraham (Berlin, Germany) (31-0, 25 KOs) at Joe Louis Arena. The fight will kick off the second round of the SHOWTIME Super Six Super Middleweight tournament, and be broadcast live to millions on SHOWTIME. After traveling to enemy territory for his opening bout of the tournament against WBC Champion Carl Froch, Dirrell will enjoy the chance to compete in front of his hometown fans in his fight with Abraham. The 2004 Olympic bronze medalist and Michigan native plans to give Detroit residents a reason to celebrate following a difficult few years in the area which has been hard hit by the economic recession. Hopefully dirrell looks more fluid in his boxing to make it easier to get into.,looking forward to watching how much he has improved . It was funny watching g shaw rip into arthur's promoters in the fight camp 360 show ,after they jokingly requesting a 10x10 ring with dirrell.

Basically. He's got a puncher's chance but - and this may sound crazy - he won't be able to outbox Abraham for the full twelve. He better hope he can hurt him. Either way, if his idea of putting on a show is what he did against Froch then I'll gladly miss this one.

I think dirrell's gonna run the whole time, then get caught after round 6 and get ktfo. I don't think he's gonna run and clinch like he did against froch. If he clinches AA, abraham will just step back and throw a upper cut and he'll get ktfo that way.

Dirrel is going to put on a clinic. Abraham is going to look real average all of a sudden.

You can put on a show, while getting knocked out. Just make sure you get up and tell the ref "Don't ever play with matches!" before going down again.
