Nigel Benn was a true warrior. He gave us some thrills for sure. Best TV fighter I have ever seen.

He was an exciting fighter on ITV that's for sure, but there was nothing quite like being present at a Benn fight in the arena! It was awesome!

Damn, I miss Benn fights he had 48 pro fights but that wasn't enough!

What a great article. thanks for posting it, nigel is one of my all time favorite fighters. truly a great fighter.

however, i know why he feels sad about the mcclellan. People say it was because of accumulated damage, well thats all bull****. it's right there, clear as day, nigel rabbit punches him, HARD, three times, before he starts blinking. nigel knows he ****ed mcclellan over with a streetfighting tactic, he probably found out the reason rabbit punching is illegal, found out it damages the brainstem, after the fight and told himself,'****, i was hitting his brain stem'

nonetheless, +karma to you, nigel will be remembered as a great in my book.

Interesting, but let's not forget though that Jones Jr hasn't fought anybody like Benn!

It would of been a classic fight, I'd have to give Benn the advantage now thinking about it (based on Jones Jr's recently proven poor chin).

thanks for the articles one of my fave all time fighters, heart of alion was never the same post the Gman fight, I actually lived near Nige in Becknham used to pass his great **** off mansion with two stone lions at the gate on the way to the station.

Saw him out and about form time to time but never got the chance to speak with him, something I regret terribly now.

total legend. As for Jones KO 3, wasnt Mclelan supposed to that as well?

you never knew with nige he always had that one punch that could turn it around but was vulnerable himslef thats what made him so exciting to watch.

                    great fighter.
